About Justin Schuhmacher

Justin is the co-owner of Indiana Estate & Elder Law, along with his wife, Jenny. He focuses his practice on community education and firm leadership rather than direct client representation, spending much of his time presenting to groups to educate them on various estate planning and elder law topics. When he is not engaging an audience, he is focused on the overall management and strategic direction of the law firm.

A Hamilton County Attorney Engaged in the Local Community

Justin received his bachelor's degree in secondary education and teaching from Ball State University. After spending 12 years in public education as a high school social studies teacher and football coach, he left public education for the legal profession.

After receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Justin was admitted to the Indiana Bar and began to practice law. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Lawyers with Purpose, as well as a past member of both the Indiana State Teachers Association and the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

Justin is a graduate of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy, in which he participated as a member of the 2025 cohort. The Academy provides education and experiences designed to prepare rising leaders in the Hamilton County, Indiana community.
