Valerie Hollar
Valerie joined the Indiana Estate & Elder Law Team in 2023. As our Drafting Paralegal, Valerie works to keep our drafting department running efficiently. She strives to help bring organization, a commitment to quality, and positive sunshine to the team each day. Valerie’s objective is to bring the estate plans that our clients create with our attorneys to life. She understands estate planning can be a topic that many do not want to think about and values each of our clients for trusting us to make sure that their wishes are accurately reflected in their planning.
Valerie was first introduced to estate planning and the legal profession when her grandparents took her along to their estate planning appointment when she was in high school. She sat with them as their attorney discussed the different types of plans and found it very interesting how an estate plan could be so customized to the individual. Valerie also learned about the importance of estate planning at all stages in life that day and subsequently has had her own estate plan since she was a young adult. In the years that followed Valerie knew she wanted to obtain a degree in the legal field and credits her path in elder law to sitting in that appointment with her grandparents that day.
Valerie grew up on the southside of Indianapolis and graduated from Franklin Central High School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management with a Legal Studies emphasis. She has more than 18 years of experience in the legal industry in Texas, Arizona, Virginia, and Indiana. Upon her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, her family relocated back home to Indiana where she joined the Indiana Estate & Elder Law team.
Valerie is appreciative of the work life balance offered at Indiana Estate & Elder Law and is happy to have found her forever work home. When not drafting documents, Valerie stays busy with her husband, three daughters, and son. She is a certified yoga instructor, can crochet just about anything from a ball of yarn, and has a bit of an obsession with house plants. Her family members are also animal lovers and share their home with four dogs.
