Luke Purdy

Luke Purdy joined Indiana Estate & Elder Law in September 2026 as an associate attorney. His practice focuses on estate planning, particularly the creation and maintenance of wills and trusts. He helps individuals and families develop comprehensive plans that reflect their wishes, protect their assets, and support their long-terms goals. Throughout the process, he explains the complexities of Indiana law in clear, practical terms relevant to each client’s needs.

Luke values getting to know his clients and understanding their circumstances, concerns, and what values most to them. These conversations guide his work and help clients make informed decisions about their legal options. He enjoys building personal connections with the people he serves and helping them navigate an uncertain future with greater confidence and peace of mind.

A native Hoosier, Luke grew up in Anderson, Indiana, and spent several years in Michigan and Texas before returning to Indiana for law school. He earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2015. After law school, Luke served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Angela Sims in Madison county, and later worked as a criminal law attorney and a private investigator. Before joining Indiana Estate & Elder Law, he worked as an intake specialist at a medical malpractice firm. His conversations with prospective clients gave him firsthand insight into the challenges older adults and their families can face during and after a major health crisis.

Outside the office, Luke and his wife enjoy hiking, traveling, and playing pickleball. He is an avid reader, especially of mystery and crime novels, and he writes fiction in his spare time. He also plays the piano and guitar and enjoys making music with the band at his local church on the north side of Indianapolis.
