
Brett Carlile
Brett is committed to working with clients to avoid probate, save taxes, and help them distribute their assets to whom they. He concentrates in the areas of trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning, asset protection and family business continuation planning. Brett believes in purpose-driven planning that begins with helping clients identify their goals and then builds estate and business plans based on that understanding.
Brett is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association; the Indiana State Bar Association, including the sections on Taxation and Estate Planning Law; the American Bar Association; and the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis. He has been a frequent speaker at numerous taxation seminars for legal and financial professionals as well as the general public.
He earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Indiana University in 2000. He was awarded a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in Business Finance. While in law school, Brett was managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and received a number of honors, including being named a Forest Jump Scholar for academic excellence.
Brett enjoys spending time with his wife, Peggy, and their four children. He enjoys hiking and travelling, especially to follow his children’s athletic pursuits.
